We’ve had a wonderfull 3 weeks off!!! So what we did was… WE WENT ON A ROADTRIP TO ITALIA!!!!!!
YEAH!!! 2 very very good friend of ours (Marcel & Marieke) were with us! We went with for 14 days. We had 2 cars (BMW 1 & Range Rover Sport… oh yesssss ) and stayed in 4 hotels

We went to Tuscane and we’ve made (city) trips to: Florance, Pisa, San Gimignano, Lucca, Sienna and Fattoria La Vialla!! (wine producer!!! YUM). Then we drove to the east coast to the Marche where we visited: San Marino and Ricciole. After this we went on to Veneto, were we stayed in Lidi di Jesolo @ the beach and we made a city trip to lovely Venice!!

It was one of the best trips yet!!

I’ve had my sewing turbo on the last few days Check the results in my gallery!

Yesterday, mom and I took part on a Sewing Marathon organized by Sancho! With +/- 50 others we were making childeren’s pyjama’s for charity. Our pyjama’s were donated to what we call, ”de kledingbank”. In english that would be “the clothing bank”, a place where the poor can come and get a complete wardrobe once a year.   

We started @10:00 and worked all day till 22:00! Which resulted in 150 very cute pyjama’s for kids of different ages (like 5 till 12 orso). Check my gallery or click on the picture below for more photo’s!

When I started this blog, I’d promised to tell our very cool and adventures USA Road Trip story. In 2005 Vincent and I went to the USA to drive from New York to Miami with stops in Myrtle Beach and Washington DC. Check out my special Road Trip USA 2005 page for the hole story!!

This Easter weekend I’ve had a great creative explosion!
First I finished a cute little handbag for my dear friend Linda. (SSST she doesn’t know yet and I hope she isn’t reading this hahaha!) I also made a very nice embroidered bath sheet for our dear friends Marcel & Marieke…a black one will follow when I get my black cutaway stabilizer. (SSST also!!!)

Then myself, Vince and a few good (girl)friends headed to the “Stoffenspektakel” (fabric market?) in Nieuwegein. Here we scored some great (nice and cheap!) jerseys/tricots, linnen and denim. (Two weeks ago I already went with my mom in Eindhoven and we scored some more expensive jerseys. It was great fun at there! Thanx to Liessa, Faragon and Sno!!
When we got home, I immediately stuffed the washing machine with our new fabrics, so they would be ready to go the next morning (Which would be… this morning ). I got up at 8:45 because I couldn’t wait to get started on my projects! Resulting in my first summer top! Woopie!!!! \o/

This is one of my favourite dutch series “Gooise vrouwen“. It’s about the jet-set women in a particular part of The Netherlands “Het gooi”. Most of our celebs live in ” Het Gooi” (Including myself and Vincent HAHAHA!!! Only we’re not jet-set)

Something amazing has happend! On the last day of 2007 I’ve bought my own embroidery machine (NL: borduurmachine)! It’s a Brother 700eII. I’m so proud and happy! Check my Sewing projects gallery to see my first piece of art!

Here u can see my machine at work! Click on: embroidery machine at work (In the background you can hear sounds of a movie Vincent was watching.. the Brother 700eII doesn’t come with exciting music as far I know haha! )

The making of… a radiator cat basket!
Vincent bent a iron stave in the shape you see in the picture.. and I made a fleece sack to put around it! Easy! I’ve put 2 more pictures in my gallery.

As you probably know… sewing is a hobby of mine..

	My grandma turned 80! So I’ve decided to make her a nice bag/shopper!! I’ve added some photo’s to my Gallery in the “Birthday gift for grandma” album. I’ve use the McCall’s M5164 pattern and added the zipper myself.
	Just before Christmas, I also decided to make some Christmas gifts for my mom, Marianne, Elisabeth and Chantal & Fer! I’ve made cute kitten dolls for them! I found a very cool website on doll makening. I’ve made some pictures of the process of making the cats!
